The Foundation Board meets quarterly throughout the year, usually in the months of January, April, July, and October.

The Board may at its discretion call special meetings. When such meetings are called, and for specific dates of regular meetings, postings will be made in this area of the website.

When special sponsored or co-sponsored events take place, such as fund-raising events, they will be posted on the site also.

Our first Fund-raising Event, held at the Meadowbrook Inn in the idylic village of Blowing Rock, North Carolina, was a Huge Success!

We thank the 50 plus merchants and others who donated to our silent auction.

We thank the over 40 people who attended and bought tickets, and merchandise.

We thank the Meadowbrook Inn for its great service, able guidance, and deep discount of the space and meals for our event.

And we thank Park Place Florist for the table arrangements.

In this first Annual Fund-Raising Event, the Foundation brought in several thousand dollars and is prepared to entertain grant applications from High Country educational institutions.

Our recent fund-raising event was at Christmas in July, in Jefferson, North Carolina. It was another successful event that put more funds into our general fund, to be used for grants.

We enjoyed an estimated 50 visitors who took part in our "Fair Hair" project, and many more who came by to learn about the Foundation. A special thanks to all those who came by. See the pictures below of the Fair Hair event!
